Organic dyes have advantages
Organic pigments are also dividedNaturalandsynthesistwo broad categories. Now commonly used is synthetic organic pigments, can be divided into monoazo, bisazo, lakes, phthalocyanine and fused ring pigments and other categories. The advantages of organic pigments are high tinting strength, bright color, complete chromatography and low toxicity. The disadvantage is that the light resistance, heat resistance, weather resistance, solvent resistance and hiding power of the product are not as good as inorganic pigments.
Important organic pigments have the following varieties.
1. Insoluble bis-azo pigment
The molecular structure contains two azo groups. The heat resistance and solvent resistance of this kind of pigment are excellent, and the coloring concentration is high. Typical varieties are: benzidine yellow GP.Y.12, Yonggu yellow GRP.Y.13, Yonggu yellow GP.Y.14, Yonggu yellow HRP.Y.83, Yonggu orange yellow GP.O.13, Yonggu orange F2GP.O.34, etc.
2. Insoluble monoazo pigments
The molecular structure contains only one azo group and is insoluble in water. This kind of pigment acid resistance, alkali resistance, excellent water permeability, light resistance in general, but heat resistance, solvent resistance is poor.
Commonly used varieties are: sun-resistant yellow G (hansha yellow G)P.Y.1, sun-resistant yellow 10G (hansha yellow 10G)P.Y.3, Yonggu orange RNP.O.5, toluidine red P.R.3, Yonggu red F4RP.R.8, toluidine purple P.R.13, etc.
The pigments with good light resistance, heat resistance and solvent resistance are: Yonggu Red FRRP.R.2, Yonggu Red FGRP.R.112, Yonggu Pink FBBP.R.146; Yonggu Red F3RKP.R.170 and other varieties belong to medium and high grade pigments.
3. Lake Pigments
A water-soluble dye is used as a pigment by a process to form a precipitate of substantially the same color as the dye, known as a lake pigment. It is characterized by bright color, good heat resistance and solvent resistance, but poor light resistance, weather resistance and water permeability, and is rarely used in products with high weather resistance requirements.
Representative varieties mainly include: barium salt lake light-resistant red BBN, yellow light red P.R.48 ∶ 1, yellow light red P.R.243, light-resistant brilliant red BBC; calcium salt lake blue light red P.R.48 ∶ 2, light-resistant red BBS; strontium salt lake red P.R.48 ∶ 3, light-resistant deep red BBM; manganese salt lake P.R.48 ∶ 4, red red P.
4. Phthalocyanine pigments
Copper phthalocyanine is the main variety. Phthalocyanine pigments are characterized by excellent light resistance, heat resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance and migration resistance, high tinting strength and low price. There are mainly two kinds of phthalocyanine blue and phthalocyanine green. The main varieties of phthalocyanine blue are: phthalocyanine blue BP.B .15, phthalocyanine blue BSP.B .15: 1, phthalocyanine blue BSRP.B .15: 2, phthalocyanine blue BGSP.B .15: 3, phthalocyanine blue GLNFP.B .15: 4; Phthalocyanine green GP.G.7; Phthalocyanine green 3YP.G.86.
5. Quinacridone Pigments
The pigment structure contains benzimidazolone structure, and this series of yellow, orange, red and brown varieties are called benzimidazolone pigments. It is a high-grade pigment variety with excellent migration resistance, sun resistance and heat resistance. Light fastness up to 7~8, heat resistance of more than 250 ℃.
The main varieties are: quinacridone red 1171, 1170, 1102, P.R.122 (commonly known as phthalocyanine red); Quinacridone purple BH101, BH201, 400,P.V.19 (commonly known as phthalocyanine purple); Yonggu yellow HCRP.Y.156; Yonggu red HRP.R.171; Yonggu brown HFR, etc.
6. Heterocyclic and condensed cyclic ketone pigments
It has excellent application performance, not only used in plastic coloring, but also used in paint and ink coloring. Because of its complex molecular structure, high cost and excellent comprehensive performance, it can be used as a high-grade organic pigment.
